Amazing ocean views & private white sand beach. Clean, comfortable, large, air conditioned rooms. Central clean pool, tasteful interior & exterior decorating, including original paintings. Friendly staff & accommodating owners. Loved being able to make our own snacks, meals, cocktails & even bbq a fresh catch of the day! Tasty restaurant nearby-just a short stroll down the beach. Loved checking out the various local beaches and arriving there by golf cart, fun! Lots of nearby islands to explore by boat & hunt for shells. We are returning for our second vacation there after only 7 months. We love it!
WOW!!!! If we could give this place one thousand stars we would. My husband and I chose this place for the first 7 days of our honeymoon. We went in mid November which is "rainy season", which meant there were barely any people there. Rainy season in the trpoics is a few thunder storms that pass through just in time to cool things off. And also makes for amazing sunsets!! The hotel is small which is perfect for relaxing and spending quality time together. It is 4 hotel rooms and one amazing suite!! The pool is amazing for relaxing when you dont fell like going in the ocean but need to cool down and maybe just float and take a nap. Stairs from the Hotel take you down to a beautiful white sand beach which we maybe saw one or 2 other people at a time. (because of "rainy" season). The island is small so very easy to get around. Not that that would ever be a worry at Villa Condesa because Herbert will take you on his golf cart any where you need at any time! Herbert and the rest of the team were beyond amazing!! They took such good care of us it made for the PERFECT 7 days!! We will be back one day!!
I have traveled the world and this is in my top five. The people make a great place better. Fantastic location - Christine (owner) Brian chef, cool person, super helpful and caring, Helbert manager so nice, attentive and will do anything to make your stay better. Great community kitchen. Super pool and private beach. The rooms are spacious and not fancy which is what I wanted. The island - get out and explore - lots of history, nice people and super safe, lots to discover if you take the time. I recommend a week stay (I stayed two) if you really want to absorb the beauty of Contadora and Villa Condesa Del Mar and the team working here.
Very nice. We opted to come to Contadora and stay here for 4 nights after visiting Boquete. The accommodations are comfortable and clean. The location is great as it is close to the ferry terminal and has a great beach. Helbert is your guide during your stay, and he was kind, informative, and drove us anywhere we wanted to go (beaches, restaurants, etc). The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. The accommodations don't have a restaurant but there are a few very good choices not far away. Helbert will drive you. Otherwise, the kitchen facilities are decently stocked with pots, plates, and cutlery to let you whip up a meal. If you plan to cook here, it's best to buy your groceries in the city as there's not much available in the local stores. It's definitely worth it if you visit this enchanting island ???? . Ps. Recommend taking Gravol or other as the 2 hour ferry ride can be very rough during windy days.
The location of this place is absolutely perfect. And the staff that works there is great. But the property is not well maintained...not at all like the glamorous photos they have on Google and social media. So don't arrive expecting what you see in the photos. Our room leaked in the rain. Another guest left the property after it also leaked in their room...and they were treated very poorly. Also for the price, it felt like a hostel with no amenities...no restaurant. No bar or "mini bar" as claimed on the website. Pool was dirty. Property had trash and random stuff laying all over the place. As long as you temper your expectations, you'll be fine.
